Dr. Afsar Rathor is a global citizen as he grew up, studied and has roots in several countries. He has a distinguished career with several United Nations organizations across the globe. He has an extensive experience in peace & conflict resolution, poverty alleviation, diplomacy, interfaith harmony, climate change, and project & risk management.

He has served at the UN responsible for implementing multimillion-dollar projects in Africa, South America and East Europe. He has also worked with the UN Department of Peacekeeping (UNDPK) serving in several war-hit conflict zones, among others, in Bosnia Herzegovina, Rwanda and Somalia etc.

He left the UN in 2017, to work as a volunteer across various developing countries on a variety of social, economic, and environmental thematic areas and/or projects.

Dr. Rathor is the founding member and the President of LIOS-SOIL Organization (LIOS), an Austrian based NGO providing policymakers and other stakeholders with solutions to the globally escalating issues of loss of fertile topsoil, land erosion and desertification, as well as promotes Regenerative Agricultural Management methods.

He organized dozens of international conferences in various regions. He has also been one of the keynote speakers at over 50 international conferences, focusing on international peace, security and reconciliation, climate change, poverty alleviation, interfaith harmony, project management, etc. He has also been lecturing at universities, institutes and think tanks in several countries of Africa, the Middle East and South Asia.

Dr. Rathor personifies thought-leadership and is among the founding members of several international NGOs promoting peace, interfaith harmony, and justice among societies around the world. Based on his thorough expertise and extensive experience in peace and reconciliation of conflicts parties, among others, Rwanda and Bosnia Herzigovena, he has been assigned as an Advisor for Yemen by few UK based NGOs to lay down a comprehensive policy, plan and programme for the reconstruction and redevelopment of Yemen.

Ambassador Soltanieh

Born on 1st October 1950, Ambassador Ali Asghar Soltanieh as nuclear scientist and multilateral diplomat has been active as participant/guest speaker in over 200 international and regional conferences, specifically on international security, WMD Non- proliferation and Disarmament since 1982.
He has served two times as the Resident Representative to the IAEA (1982-87; 2006-2013). During the first mission to the IAEA, he was simultaneously the Chief Negotiator and Head of Delegation to the United Nations Conference on Promotion of International Cooperation on Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy (PUNE). He has been fully involved in the NPT conferences since 1982.
He served as Ambassador to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Geneva (1999-2002) & Vienna (2006-2013).
While serving as DPR in Geneva (1999-2002), he was the Chief Negotiator on the Protocol of Biological Weapons Convention as well as delegate to the Conference of Disarmament (CD).
