Professor Mahmoud NASREDDINE
BIOGRAPHY
Graduated as “Docteur En Sciences” from Grenoble University in 1974, he joined the Lebanese University as assistant professor, professor (1979), head of Physics Department (1980-1983), director of the Faculty of Sciences (1983-1985), dean of Public Health Faculty (1985-1993).
In 1993 he joined the National Council for Scientific Research-Lebanon as Director of the Energy Division.
In 1996 he founded the Lebanese Atomic Energy Commission (LAEC) and was appointed as director till 2001.
In 2001 he was elected as Director General of the Arab Atomic Energy Agency Tunisia). In 2009 he left the AAEA and joined the League of Arab States Secretariat (Cairo) as Scientific Advisor to the Secretary General till December 2011.
He is now in Lebanon as part time professor at the Political Sciences Institute at Saint Joseph University, and as Secretary General of the Middle East and North Africa Strategic Studies Center (MENASSC).
